The Virginia Office of Muslim American Safety, Security, and Emergency Preparedness is established to address the unique safety, security, and emergency preparedness needs of Muslim American communities in Virginia. The office aims to foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and understanding, ensuring that Muslim Americans feel safe and valued
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a Virginia where Muslim Americans can live, work, and worship without fear of discrimination, harassment, or violence. We envision a future where Muslim American communities are resilient, prepared, and equipped to respond to emergencies, and where their contributions to the state’s social, economic, and cultural fabric are recognized and celebrated.
Our Mission
We provide resources and support to ensure the safety and preparedness of Muslim American communities. We foster partnerships with law enforcement and emergency responders to build trust and cooperation while advocating for policies that address community needs. We office also promote awareness of Muslim American contributions in Virginia.
